Emotionally. Coded. Drones.
If drones were to perform alongside their human counterparts, could they share our vulnerabilities, hopes and fears? In this ground-breaking programme melding dance and advanced technology, Australasian Dance Collective—winner of the three Helpmann Awards and three Australian Dance Awards—will collaborate with the Swiss drone pioneer Verity Studios. By imbuing drones with vitality and distinct personalities, choreographing them to emulate complex human emotions and dance alongside six dancers, an unprecedented stage language is revealed—opening up a mind-blowing new world.
Audiences are invited to explore and re-examine the delicate power relationship between humans and machines, as well as their dependence and desire for each other—are we friends or enemies? In this highly digitised era, how should we position ourselves? Step into this imagined future and challenge your perceptions—are you ready for it?
